Lui 50 Exhaust removal?

Post  Ministrone on Tue Aug 08, 2017 1:38 pm

What's the best method for removing the exhaust of a Lui 50Cl? being typically Italian, it looks as though the exhaust to barrel coupling won't fit through the hole in the frame.

Is it necessary to lower drop the engine? any tips would be welcome?

Basically, yes. Just remove the engine pivot bolt and pull the engine slightly back. If you can strap the front of bike down to your workbench, if you have one, all the better. Or get an able assistant to steady it whilst you do the above.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go when I sort out a new gasket.
