The two springs that go over the posts on top of the main frame, then the tank sits on top of those and are compressed by the two bolts which go into the frame posts, securing the tank into place. I think there designed to take out any movement plus you need the four rubber pads to stop vibration/wear between tank and frame. I got mine from Jem i think he makes them. Yet another of those hidden little parts needed to build what has to be one of the most expensive to restore scooters.

the springs actually fit on top of the petrol tank and under the seat frame, all held down by the bolts passing through the seat frame and into the two seat posts.

I found two springs i need and may have another set on the way so if i do i will et you know and you can have them.
