piston ok or not

Post  modgod on Thu Apr 12, 2012 11:31 am

anybody used the gol pistons as advertised on ebay .(good or bad)
i need to get my vega up & running asap to do some classic bike regularity
trials on this summer , i havent collected enough parts to convert it to
125 yet , so im going to run it as a 75cc till i can get the 125 parts

cento & FR 98cc cylinders

Post  littlewilly on Fri Apr 20, 2012 1:05 am

cento barrels are thinner in places than J 125 one's -you have to cut off the bottom section
of the cylinders skirt I know, because it's too thin if bored to 57mm -so I'd not try for the
59mm size if I were you mudgod.

at coventry myself and littlemoon were speaking to pat who owns/runs scooter surgery, he said he belives that the pistons for the cassa kits can be bought seperately.

piston

Post  modgod on Sat Apr 21, 2012 11:20 am

cheers for the info .ive ordered the new gol piston so ill try that for now.
my vega barrell has two nice deep score marks in it from the gudgeon
pin ?? (as bought) so the 47.80 piston will do nicely . ill tune what ive
got & wait till i can get the 125+ parts
