i have some new old stock ones in mint condition and they are bare ali .i also have some polished ones but they were not done by innocenti .i also stripped my cut down ones which had been hidden away for thirty odd years in an old box from an old race bike .they had been painted black but underneath the black paint they were silver and then cream undercoat

They were painted silver to match the crankcase and hubs. I did mine with Hammerite Smooth, it's a good match and pretty tough, especially if you "bake" it at a low temperature. In front of a fire is good enough.
