mag flanges

Post  littlemoon on Mon Dec 10, 2012 7:19 am

just noticed at scooter restorations that they have both types of mag flange on stock

the type with 2 seals and a 1 peice bearing, http://www.scooterrestorations.com/lambretta/vega-lui-j-range-magneto-flange-bearing-and-oilseals/

and the type with 1 seal and a 3 peice bearing, http://www.scooterrestorations.com/lambretta/j-range-magneto-flange/

allthough the later has no bearing fitted. i thought i would add this as there seamed to be some confusion about the availability of the said flanges pluss i like the word flange tongue

Good spot and a good price as well. If I had one needing the rare type I would buy one as a spare.

i have spoke to scooter restorations today to order some parts and asked about the mag flanges, and as daz has said they only have the type with the 3 piece bearing and one oil seal but have fitted the extra seal for some reason. so only that one is available Sad and sory if i have built anyones hopes up. cheers simon
