Primary drive sprockets

Post  zefarelly on Fri Aug 13, 2010 1:28 am

If THeres plenty of Luis about, and a CASA kit to make it go is readily available, it strikes me the one thing thats stopping you, or holding you back is gearing, so a 13 tooth Vega front sprocket would be useful. Are these available fromanywhere, or should I look at getting one/some made? I don't think it would be that difficult, how many Luis are out there in need . . . .

Casa Lambretta has them

Post  LENY on Fri Aug 20, 2010 5:00 pm

Hi
I have a 13 sprocket which I got via Casa Lambretta here in Sweden a while ago but I have not been running my Luna with it. The original drive chain is just to short... so I will try to get a half link or something like that and see it that works
Or has anyone any knowledge of this, do I perhaps need to extend the chain more?

Cheers
Leif

Thanks Gert

so for about £250 you can make a Lui usable . . . . given the difference between Lui and Vega prices, thats worth considering

has anyone done any land speed testing on a Lui with a casa kit ?

speed casa kit

I'm still running in mine, but it's already a big difference to a standard LUI.

There are faster LUI's on the planet, but i'm happy with the result. I think mine is doing 40mp/h.

Afteral it is still a moped, and it's also illegal for the insurance and police in Belgium to convert a 50cc into a 75cc
