varitronic ??

Post  mambonumber5 on Wed Jul 10, 2013 6:30 am

having the lui 50 upgraded with the casa 80 kit it came with and I have been advised to go for varitronic at the same time. What are peoples thoughts its £300 ,is it worth it will it make any difference ? do you have it ? I am not too tech minded so you may have to bear this in mind when answering. thanks

Its a lot of money, if you can live with points and don't drive at night i'd be tempted to spend my money elsewhere. However I have done my own electronic conversion because I like the reliability electronic ignition offers!

depends on what your after really, if its going to be used regularly and over distance, then go for the electronic, if not stick with the points, but I'm sure I have seen the kits at a cheaper price than £300

thanks for the replies I think you confirmed what I was thinking - not really worth the money for the short distances I will go on the bike. regards m
