My current Lui 50cl project

Post  Adam Sleight on Thu Jan 02, 2014 5:12 pm

Finally managed to get my frame in paint, the resto is taking shape now, the Legshields needed work but we've managed to get them back with a lot of hours and body filler!

Thanks!
My Dads got an SX150 in the same colour so hopefully they'll both look great when put together. It's going to be the engine that's going to take the most time. I'm thinking about putting the 12v ignition on as well as the Parma kit so I'm trying to work on other things while I get the money together for that. (It's not cheap!)  Shocked haha. Hopefully it wont take that long and I'll soon be out on the road!

A short video of my Lui 50 after it's rebuild.
Still a few more little things to do but she's nearly there.
I've got to put the 75 exhaust on and sort out a clutch slip and then she's done.

Another photo, not long before it's ready for the MOT. I need a back light and the wheel rims painting and then it's ready. Little things like the LUI 50cl badge that's away being re-chromed and the floor mats in which I need to get round to buying! Just thought I'd upload this one as mine and my Dads bike look really well together.  Very Happy

Here's a quick video of me riding my Lui 50. This was my first attempt at riding it and changing up the gearbox. The clutch needs tinkering with and my throttle cable came out on my way back down. We've just put a 24mm Mikuni/BGM carb on it so it needs setting up a little better. But not bad for a guess I suppose?
