drive side seal

Post  shand on Wed Apr 23, 2014 11:07 am

Long time since I posted on here, in fact I think it was the same question
Does any body know the number for this part, the numbers on the one I've taken out are 40 26 6. I 've just bought a seal kit and it does not contain this part, I was just wondering if i've got an odd seal plate

innocent part number 20850009 oil seal size 25.8 x 40 x 6
sounds like you have the right seal David, but perhaps one missing from the seal kit, it wasn't a lui oil seal kit by any chance as the oil seal is a different size 23x35x6

I've got a spare seal so I'll fit it, any way i think the real culprit was a bad fitting hallite washer, I had about six none of them fitted. It seems to be getting harder to get spares from one place now, even bread and butter stuff like gaskets and seals, you have to search for them

I know what you mean about the washer, there just ever so slightly too big and lift up along the outer edge, try looking for new old stock j range gasket sets on ebay.
