Is it ok to use series 3 clutch plates ( seeing as I've got some and I'm tight ) instead of vega ones

I recently had a thread on this matter, in this section. The outcome was that series 3 plates need a little filing to make them fit. I ended up getting a luna sized set of 3 plates off ebay £18 all in, good fit and fast postage.
I looked into a 4 plate conversion using the thin cork plates and steels (2 thicknesses of steels used) for series 3models, but in the end didn't want to be bothered with all the filling down.
I did use the uprated clutch springs used in the larger engine scoots and they work fine.
