price variations

Post  Thackers on Sat Sep 20, 2014 7:36 am

I've noticed of late a influx of parts for auction on Ebay. Prices for the same item varies so much from seller to seller and never seem to shift even at the lower price end. Of course certain items do go (all be it over inflated) but some parts are just not so in demand, it makes me think "are they pricing and hoping a mug bids". I had a set of straight forks on there a year or two back and couldn't move them at a £5er. Why do sellers put such high prices on parts time and time over? Then making it way too costly to restore.
Bring back the parts fair of old I say

Same old story with ebay mostly greedy sellers with over inflated prices! you can get the odd bargain though from good sellers. Very Happy

I used to love the parts fairs, got many a bargain from wicksteed park, but now mostly taken over by record / clothes/ patch stalls or people selling general accessories.
