chain guard converstion

Post  VEGA luke on Sun Sep 27, 2015 5:48 am

on taking apart the VEGA to re shim the gear box I noticed that there was substantial wear to the upper chain guard (it was knackered) note picture 1, on failing to find a replacement in the spears department (the garage) it was decided to take apart a series 3 one note picture 2, we starter by removing any lest over rubber on the guard note picture 3, we then took the plastic/nylon part of the series 3 one and cut it to size to fit the VEGA guard, next we drilled through the guard then bolted it back on using the existing nuts and bolts note picture 4, this should be a great improvement and drastically reduce any transmission noise hopefully Very Happy Very Happy

If I can I'll put a pic on here showing mine with a Jockey's chain guide.
If not on here, I'll use Facebook as it s easier.
